Bedayati
Economic and skills empowerment for an inclusive community and world of work.

It’s been eight weeks but as the needs are only intensifying now is no time to stop. More urgently than before, we need your support to sustain and expand our efforts in order to:
👉Enhance food security: To equip kitchens, provide hot meals, train cooks on food safety and hygiene and provide food boxes and supplies for families to cook their own meals. To date, Bedayati has provided over 65,000 wholesome hot and cold meals in 18 shelters and schools, upgraded two kitchens and provided kitchen cookware and utensils to 4 schools and shelters.
👉Provide skills training: To ensure that post-crisis, displaced and host communities have the skills to become financially autonomous. Bedayati is implementing its skills training activities, including foundational skills training (English) for displaced women and youth and vocational training in pastry and web development.
👉Promote well-being: Cooking together for 55 days was itself a healing process for many Bedayati team members and volunteers, a third of whom have themselves been displaced.

USJ SOLIDARITY APPEAL

USJ: URGENT SOLIDARITY APPEAL

Confronted with this catastrophe, USJ has taken decisive action: The University’s NGO, Al Mazeed, along with the Campus Ministry and Opération 7e Jour, are already on the ground supporting displaced families. For example, 350 hot meals are provided daily to 350 people in need.

Our concern now rests with the 2,000 students displaced by the conflict, who, along with their families, are struggling to continue their studies. These students join the 5,500 already benefiting from the solidarity scholarship fund, which reached over $23 million in 2023/24.

The current EMERGENCY is to provide blankets and food to families with children in distress.

The education team with the teams of volunteers are already making packages and taking them to displaced families. This collection by JUST HELP will bring a big relief.
